My first ever solar pathway lights were Solpex bronze metal lamp with double lights through the base and top, shown in the front center of the photo. They are large, very sturdy and beautiful, giving off a generous pattern of light. When picking up the new box of Gigalumi pathway solar lights I questioned the quality since the box was so lightweight. However, upon opening the package, I was impressed with how simple the lamp assembled, and attracted to the rippled "glass" design. It is pleasing to the eyes both daytime and night giving off a more subdued, calming warm light. The lamps look attractive placed closer together since they are smaller and produce a more subtle light. Every lamp has worked perfectly, and surprisingly put out light after only receiving a minimum of sun the first two days after receiving them. I used a large 8" nail to prepare the hole for the stake to be pushed in easily, and was pleased that the strong winds that accompanied the storm we received did not disturb the positioning of the lamps. The additional light is welcoming, and certainly worth the small investment for the lovely atmosphere they create in your special space.
